Hello, and welcome to my Portfolio website.
I am a Visiting Assistant Professor in Korean Studies at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh (PA, USA) in the department of Languages, Cultures and Applied Linguistics. My research revolves around Korean popular culture and the consequences of its popularity worldwide. My first research project—currently ongoing—explores debates of authenticity within K-pop fandom(s) and how divergent understanding of nationalism influences the relationship between K-pop fans inside and outside of Korea.
