Deok_UP

Deok_UP is a YouTube channel I created in October 2021 as a teaching experiment. My goal was to produce content entirely in Korean about Korean popular culture, as a way to combine both content-based and language-based approaches to Korean Studies.

The channel reflects my belief that Korean popular culture can serve as a powerful pedagogical entry point — offering learners authentic, engaging material while simultaneously deepening their understanding of Korean society, language, and cultural context.
